India Who will sending a Young and Strong Golf Team for the upcoming 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta Indonesia. In Seven golf players list team included the Diksha Dagar and Adil Bedi. The four member boys team and Three Members Girls team will be choosen for the Asian Games Golf Events by India.
All the contenders were required to play six rounds in the trials conducted by the Indian Golf Union.Sifat Sagoo, Ridhima Dilawari and Diksha Dagar were top three among girls, while Kshitij Naved Kaul, Aadil Bedi and Harimohan Singh were the top three among boys.
If we look a the India’s track record in Asian Games golf events then is Looking good as In 1982 when golf was introduced at the Asian Games Tournament, Lakshman Singh and Rajiv Mohta won gold and silver and the Indian team also won the gold in events. Then after Shiv Kapur won the individual gold in 2002 Asian Games While In 2006 (Anirban Lahiri, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Chiragh Kumar and Joseph Chakola) and 2010 (Rashid Khan, Rahul Bajaj, Abhinav Lohan and Abhijit Chadha) won the team silver medal in Golf Events.
Aadil who will also played in the world cup which known as Eisenhower cup at Ireland. They said its surely be a happy to qualify for asian games.
“It is a great privilege to play at Asian games and I am looking to return with gold medal. There are countries such as Taiwan, Korea, Japan and China, who will pose a tough competition but I am confident,” Aadil, who is number one in National Men’s merit list, told PTI.
“I plan to go there twice in May and June prior to the event to know about the conditions,” added the 17-year-old Chandigarh golfer, who started playing golf at the age of six.
